Speech by Sabina Higgins for The Crocus Project 2021

On 14 October 2021, Holocaust Education Ireland attended Áras an Uachtaráin for The Crocus Project event with Mrs Sabina Higgins.

6th class pupils from Hansfield Educate Together National School planted crocus bulbs in memory of all the children who perished in the Holocaust.

Holocaust survivors Suzi Diamond and Tomi Reichental attended the event. Third-generation survivor Caryna Camerino also attended.

Mrs. Higgins spoke about the importance of remembrance and how The Crocus Project is ‘very powerful and very moving’. Listen to the full speech here:
