30,000 Crocuses Now in Bloom Across Ireland as Part of the Crocus Project
We are proud to announce that 30,000 yellow crocuses are now in full bloom across Ireland, as part of our Crocus Project. This initiative invites young people aged 10 and over to plant yellow crocus bulbs in memory of the 1.5 million Jewish children who perished in the Holocaust, as well as the thousands of other children who were victims of Nazi atrocities.
The yellow crocuses, which bloom around the end of January, serve as a powerful symbol of remembrance, coinciding with International Holocaust Memorial Day. The flowers are a poignant reminder of the stars that Jews were forced to wear under Nazi rule, offering a vivid tribute to those who suffered and died.
We are deeply moved by the participation of young people across Ireland in this meaningful project, ensuring that the memory of these children will continue to be honoured for generations to come.
